If i had to stock a 125 i'd probably go with

1x flowerhorn
2x jaguar
1x black nasty
1x synodontis cat

That stock would not work. FYI

I'd have to say no to the Red Belly Pacu.

get the pacus out of your mind. because they look like red belly piranhas is not a good reason to like them. those things get massive

I'm getting my first monster fish, soon. I was wondering what would be a good starter? I don't want a huge fish, my limit would be 1.5 to 2 ft.

well i see that you like wolf fish so id go with a Erythrinus erythrinus aka Rainbow Wolf Fish i have one my self there great fish and you could have other odd balls with him like a black ghost knife or maybe go with some Cichlids like Festae and salvini

Pacu are great, but watch out. They will bite your pecker off!!!


Pacu really are great fish, they do of course become giants. But, you've said you plan to upgrade, so your planned stock sounds cool.
