First pike in a long time need ID

well could be either of those species. alot of times, females in those species do not show spangling like the males but have brighter colors.

Does look a lot like either lepodita or fretana. Can you get some more body shots? Particularly of the dorsal fin? Alta has the distinct 'eye booger'...lol....plus the 'red' rim around the humeral blotch.

Female Lepidota and Saxatilis do have spangling, just less than the males. The fish Bogwoodbruce posted pics of has no spangles.

Bruce, man honestly, I.Din is tough but that is definitely a really nice looking fish. Congrats on that.
