The lateral stripe from the eye to the operculum in Frenata females is edged in white. Bruce's fish doesn't have this so it isn't a Frenata. Look here.sicxspeed;1303386; said:

There can be slight variations in spangling within a species, but there's no variation for the white-edged lateral stripe on Frenata females. So if a particular female pike doesn't have that feature, it definitely isn't a Frenata.sicxspeed;1310772; said:
