Looked cool, thought it was Cuba, sorry man.
Thanks for the pics and vids. Keep us posted!

No worries. Will post as things develop. I did check out your 265...very nice...

Hi all,

Hope all is well with you all and your tanks....

Things are going fairly well here...still having anubias growth issues, but all other plants are doing fine. No algae to speak of at least none that are a nuisance in any way...

The rummy nose are doing really well. I added 75 more diptails and have another 150 on order. That will do it for fish...The diptails are eating and adjusting well so far..Issue is that many are < 1/2" and frail, so they need a bit of attention..However, more and more are joining the existing shoals...I see them feeding which is a good sign..

I swapped my internal Rio powerhead used for c02 with an Eheim 1103 external NW and I like it a lot. Gets the powerheads and stuff out of the tank and is nice and quiet. Easy to install inline with my canisters...

The tank looks so much better without the heater and the powerheads in the tank. The eheim intakes are completely hidden by plants now. Just the one outlet is visible as the placement is for better c02 distribution with the vortech placement.. Installing a hydor heater was 10 minutes worth of work. Great units!

Also, nice to eliminate more power cords into the tank.

I really had to turn the c02 rate down as this is more efficient than my DIY NW job

I may remove the vortech with the pencils, as they are quite small, until they put on some size. I have it on the lowest setting now, but they hide in it when it is off, and don't want them harmed when it turns on..

I am going to swap my 72" 12x39w T5ho fixture for 2 of the ATI 36" dimmable 8x39w Sunpower fixtures..I like the dimming function and will allow for longer viewing times with low light...

I am going to try different makes/colors of bulbs as there are many in the 36" model..

The tank needs a trim in the worst way, but am holding off as I have some company coming soon and would rather them see too much than not enough....

So, here are a few pics. Enjoy. The first was taken this morning with 8x39w right after a large water change. The latter two were taken just before with 12x39w and the plants fully awake :)

Take care.

My god what a BEAUTIFUL tank.. I know it's probably somewhere in the prior 17 pages of this thread but: what type of plant did you use to produce the "carpeting" effect?

Hi and thanks for the kind words....

There are two main carpeting plants...

The main is dwarf clover (marsilia) and borders the ENTIRE tank and is the darker plant. The bright green one that is behind it in the middle is stauro repens 049.

This tank is amazing, for sure one of the nicest planted tanks ive seen

Hi and thanks for stopping by... Thanks for the kind words and compliments....
