Hey all,

Here is a list of the plant species to be used and some estimated quantities... Lots of plants to buy :)

Anubias -

The Barteri nana and petite come as single plants and can be potted or not. I see about 30-40 nana and 50-75 petite. Bare root is fine with me. I also want about a dozen or so cofeefolia.

Crypts - either the Red or bronze wendti. About 30-50 plants as most of these rosettes can be easily split into several plants.

Pogostemon Helferi - these come in a small plastic portion similar to how they retail mosses. Between 4-6 stems per portion. I see about 50-60 portions coming my way.

Java - looking for lots of windelov if available. I would love a mat but doubt they do this variety that way...If single plants (most likely) I see about 30 or so plants...I would take 2-3 mats for sure if they come that way.....

Clover - I need to understand how these are packaged. I would like some of the regular and dwarf. If it comes potted or in portions I guess about 30 portions/pots of each.

Barclaya longifolia - about a dozen of these.

Mosses - 3-4 portions each of whatever nice moss is available. Flame, xmas, etc.

Stauro repens 049 - most likely about 60-100 stems. Tom will bring this with him in his luggage :)

All the rest will be sourced from a local vendor....

Thanks for hanging in. I hope the scape will be done in a few weeks and I can post some pics. I hope you will enjoy the look.

The scape will run for 1-2 months w/o fish at first so I have time to choos fish once we see the scape..

Hi all,

I was able to mount the suspension hardware, the light bar, and the light fixture today!

The pics are very fresh and I have not had a chance to clean it up yet, but it seems solid and works well.

I used 1/4 eye bolts and wing nuts on top. I also used a hex nut on the underside to lock the hook into place. Not going anywhere...

I am using all 12 bulbs that came with the fixture including the 3 actinics per side. I will replace these with Gman aquaflora and daylight bulbs and doubt I will use all 12 anyway...

Any thoughts to help hide wires and such are appreciated!

Getting there bit by bit!

Hey,

I installed the Vortech MP40 powerhead earlier just to ensure it works properly and it works fine!

It is a great pump. Adjustable and powerful and not a large footprint....

I can't wait until someone invents 'wireless' electricity so you don't need power cords for everything... I know they are called 'batteries' but you know what I mean :)

Looking more and more like a real aquarium.

nice

Those driftwood look amazing! How did you acquire them? What are they?

Hi,

Thanks. That is manzanita wood from California. Tom Barr collects and sells it...

I have a ton of it.....

Great stuff!

Just read this thread from first to last, great updates and plans for the tank! And I love the driftwood!
