That RBTA is a high light anemone... I hope you've got enough light bro!
The previous owners had it for a few years so it must be enough light to survive this long. I just have to make the light cover is clean so that the RBTA can get maximum lighting.

Thanks, it means a lot to hear it coming from a hardcore reefer.

I had a 10 gal nano running for a few months but it started pissin me off. The calcium and carbonates bounced around way too much so dumped everything in the 75 gal

why would the calcium and carbonate bounced around? do you have enough rocks and argonite sand?

when u have stony corals, when they grow they absorb calcium and carbonates from the water... to make it even more fun they dont absorb them in the same amounts. the more calcium goes missing the higher the alkalinity. Also if the alkalinity gets too high then calcium starts dissapearing... but anyway when u have a big tank theres a bit of a buffer... but in a 10 gal it changes very fast n as u prolly know reefs do best when everything stays constant
since i put those corals in the 75... they been growin crazy fast

but u have nothing to worry bout cuz i dont think u have any stony corals

Thanks for the clarifications. My friend warned me about stony corals so I stayed away from them. I told my friend I wanted a low maintainance setup and he helped me out with what to get and what not to get. Beside I'm a fish guy not a coral guy.:D

You're going to want to step up to that 20 as soon as you can, I thought you had those guys in a JBJ 24, even that's a very tight fit.

Wow is that a lemon peel i love them, i had one for a while. So much fun to watch.

i used to say i was a fish guy n not a coral guy. but when i switched to saltwater man o man was i wrong :P i still love me some beasty ass fish in a big tank but the great thing bout a reef is u can still put as much if not more passion into n it takes up half the space. Maybe one day ill get a moster fish tank again but for now im pretty happy wit the reeef

looking good. ive alway wanted one, but never had the time or money for it :(
