My first official shout out. I have a 110gallon tank with 9 cichlids. Most are south American I believe. Huge adult Jaguar over a foot. A black belt, placo and JD both just under a foot. A Red terror, Oscar, pike and firemouth all over 6 inches. The Oscar is growing fast and is still very young. And 1 six plus inch fat African spotted catfish.

Terrible background, some great looking fish (The male dempsey and firemouth especially) but I think you'll have to be upgrading to a larger tank or thinning the herd soon.

OK. I get it. I will increase my water changes to once a week. I will also gradually do larger changes working closer to %50. Thanks. Now I need to find a happy home for a cpl of my fish

50% weekly water changes will be great for the fishes for sure. Doesn't look overstocked to me as long as water conditions are maintained and no aggression issues. I see potential in it personally, and as long as it makes you happy.

That's an awful lot of big aggressive cichlids in a 4' tank. If WW3 breaks out, you need a backup plan. To keep your nitrates at a safe level you'll need to do more than one water change a week. I'd do 70% every four-five days. Test your nitrates with an API kit. The results should be orange or dark orange. These fish are sensitive to nitrates: it affects their immune system.

I'd pick my three least favorite fish and the pleco and rehome them. You currently have 300 gallons of rowdy fish in a 110.
