  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Haha yah big net is right! Except I forgot about my hose siphoning the water out and ended up siphoning about 25 of them down the drain lol.

looking great cant wait for more pictures when its fully functional btw what you using for filtration?

Right now I'll be using a single FX5 and once I get more of a fish load I'll add another, also going to be putting a pair of powerheads in, I want some water movement.

Cool build. Ill be watching. Get a asian aro for that badboy tank. Or a black at the very least

Awesome build.. I can't wait to try my hand at a plywood tank. Congratulations.

Thanks guys :) Tank drained and dry, just coated the area around the two leaks with LR, tomorrow I'll coat it again and then Saturday after work I'll fill it up about 100 gallons and give it another couple days before I fill it all the way. Hoping she'll be good to go, almost out of LR, don't want to have to order more!

So, I`ve been doing more thinking about my stock list for the tank and come up with what I think I want.

5x Frontosa
3x Jaguar Cichlid
1x Black Ghost Knife
1x Sailfin Pleco
2x Silver Arowana
1x Royal Clown Knife
1x Motoro Stingray
1x Oscar
5x Green Terror Cichlid
4x Jack Dempsey Cichlid
1x Datnoid
1x Florida Spotted Gar

As I said before I already have the Fronts, Jags, BGK and Pleco. I`ve been trying to get my Silvers, but the times I`ve gone they haven`t been in stock. I see good size (8-10") Clownkifes at Big Als quite frequently, so once the 400 is up and leak free I'll look into one of those. The ray I will also be looking into once the tank is going, not sure how big they usually are when you get them. Got a buddy with a 5" Oscar thats outgrowing his tank that he's going to give to me once the tanks done. I'm a huge fan of both the Green Terrors and JD's, when they get large they are beautiful fish, so when I get my Silvers into the 80 gallon growout I'll throw all those cichlids in as well, I want some smaller cichlids for the big tank. As for the Datnoid, I really like them, however I will only be getting one if the price is right on one over 6", don't want to be waiting around for 3 years for it to grow large enough to be in the big tank. I want all my fish in the 400 within 8 months and only have the one tank. I had a FSG in the 80 gallon a while back, but it got too big so I had to sell it, so I'll be getting another one of them as well. I think that is going to be pretty close to what I'll end up stocking, but not set in stone by any means!

I hope you don't need any more liquid rubber but, where did you get it from? If there's a home hardware nearby, they might stock it. I've bought a couple of pails off the shelf at my local store. They are a Canadian distributor for the stuff.

I got it from my local Home Hardware, they don't stock it (actually they didn't even know they carried it), I have to order it so it takes a week or so.
