I use HOT water when doing water changes, i mix salt check with hydrometer. Just before i dump it in i use salinity scope, no changes....
Roger roger, I use a refractometer, so i dont bother with hydrometers any more

Temp will effect it, but when you do water changes your h2o should be about the same temp as the water in the tank...so that shouldnt be an issue.

Additionally, the difference in a FOWLR tank is most likely something that will go unnoticed by the inhabitants. If you were keeping corals or other inverts it might be a different story.

FOWLR - Fish Only With Live Rock

Yes the t8s would be just fine. I would get a blue bulb and a white one so you get that really nice look ;)

ok, wow im full of questions, next one lol... because i want false perculas. or some sort of clown fish, i think it would be cool to have an anenomy, now from what i understand they are a living plant or organism (or what ever they are technicaly refured to) do they need special lighting or do they just need light?

so should i go with that marineland LED fixture? or what would you recomend? see from wat i was told marine land came out with this LED fixture to replace the metal halloid lights. (i cant spell lol) so apparently these marine land lights are rediculously bright

LED's will never compare to MHs, others will know more about the requirements for your anomie. If your so sold on the LED fixture buy it off ebay for 100$ less than your LFS is trying to pry from you.

The current marineland led fixtures will not be able to support an anemone. They do have some high output led fixtures that they are displaying at MACNA, but those wont be on the market until next year (i think).

ya the lfs wants $250 and its not that im sold on it, its just that its the only light fixture ive been told will work for anenomies, so i have nothing to compare it to. so one other thing, live rock. my lfs is charging 10.99 a pound, and im under the impression i need a pound of live rock per gallon, so do i really need to spend over $1000 dollars on rock to fill my 90G
