First Time Keeping Discus - Some Pics Going Well

Okay so I have a few more discus now and the tank is really thriving!! :-) ... Adding some photos now and a video as soon as it has uploaded :-p

Thanks ... yeah they have livened up more now... with the bigger ones in there.. got them for £25 each cos someone was getting rid of them.
The neons made he smaller ones a lot more active too... I think they just need distraction so that they're not freaking out all the time. Was so funny.... the red melon used to freak out and dart about the tank scaring the others who'd all start doing it... then they realised what they were doing and looked stupid! haha
 
Looking good Martcoug! The neon tetras might not last as long if you raise the temperatures but as long as they fill the need to make your fish comfortable then it doesn't really matter. The cardinal tetras have a full bar of red (basically to their head) and can take the higher temps better.
 
I agree neons may not last long at discus temps. Also, watch for signs of sickness after adding new fish to a discus tank. I learned the hard way. Most of my other fish are fine without quarentining the new ones, but discus seem to be more affected. Just something to watch for... Good luck and great fish!
 
nice discus . looks like a cobalt and a leapord to me but i'm no expert.just got into discus about 1 year ago and i'm falling in love with them more and more.
