first time watch change

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
You should maybe invest in a wet/dry or add a fluval like u said onto the tank.

Try feeding them maybe once or twice a day ( i know its hard and u wana feed them all the time, I know i do to. But you gota resist that urge)

do w/c maybe twice a week at 20%

if you do this your fish will be so much happy i promise

when u get a siphon tube, make sure u can submerge the whole thing in the tank. i got the 2 footer when i first got my snapper, so i had to prime the system w/ my mouth instead of just filling the hose in the tank, definatly sucked down some turtle crap. not fun.

Also - when you do water changes - do not do it on the same day you change or clean out your filter media. I learned the hard way long long time ago, and had the pleasure of revisiting the hobbyist's favorite part of fish keeping - Sitting through another cycle.

i dont see any "flaming" anywhere...i mean..i wouldn't call what people have said here..flaming..tough love maybe, LOL

just do what everyone here suggested, feed the peas once or twice a week, feed as many as it'll take, do a 50% water change once a week..if you need help..just as your father to help you

good luck with everyone, hope the pbass becomes a beast for you :)

I can't find the "flaming" either

Pill- I've read all your posts on this forum and i think all thats happened is you've gotten excited and gotten ahead of yourself...(which we all do from time to time:) )

Instead of asking "how much are dats/pbass", "where can i get them from", "what do they eat" etc

You need to go back to basics and do some research, search "nitrogen cycle"(ammonia, nitrite, nitrate), go to the setup/ filtration forum and research suitible filters to handle pbass etc. in a 60g, search "water changes" etc...

Once you have a good understanding of these things your fish should stop dying and if one does happen to die you will have a better understanding as to what caused it... so you can rectify the situation and prevent it from happening again :)

I was in your situation(minus the pbass) just over a year ago, but after a couple of weeks of reading this forum i was confident enough to start a big tank and can now answer other peoples questions...
