Yeah, it doesn't have nasal barbels as a Bagrid should, but the head shape reminds me of a Bagrid, especially the stretched our snout. But maybe you are right and it is a SA RTC somewhat deformed.
top of the head/skull is smashed down, throwin ya off… the mouth is in a permenant “frown” also lol… u know i enjoy deformities my friend ??. Sadly they really do “match up” like clock work among many species. He must have been hit by a feather when egg mixing or had a rough life in the “test tube” it was made in hah…
That's why I hate seeing RTC and TSN being farm bred. Many of them get born with issues like the infamous dolphin tiger shovelnose.
happens in the wild also… just “trauma” to the eggs during development…several accounts of these same deformities in wild species fresh to salt. “farmies” serve their purpose in the hobby. Man made fish are “sustainable” and most destined for food production or personal enjoyment in the hobby.
