We've all seen it 20 times on four different boards.

And at the end of the day, these vendors finally realize that it is too painful to deal with the whiney manwoman that collect fish. They raise the minimum order amount or leave completely.

I completely agree with you guys. But I disagree with your characterization of the situation. I'm not the type of guy to complain about everything. I've never called or written a complaint letter to a company before this. If I get cheese on my hamburger when I ask for no cheese I eat it anyway. All I asked for was to credit the fish that arrived dead, like his policy says, after a horrible communication problem in which they didn't even tell me the package had shipped out. If I'm a whiney manwoman, I'd hate to even think what you guys are.

If their first response is to get defensive and blame you and tell you to **** off, your damn right, I'd be pissed to, regardless of the policy. You are right. No one owes us anything. But you guys have no problems flaming the customer. when he simply states his experience. Your missing the point. This is a forum. Forums are for people to share their experiences and Opinions. Don't be pissed at the customer just because the vendor is making you pay for a customers respones.

Listen, Joe has his sales policy posted up front. I don't want to debate this because it's already getting beat to death in another thread. Joe takes time(read as money) trying to defend himself and his business in these little **** threads. And of course competing vedors love to weigh in also.

I have no idea who aranos is. So far, in his four posts, he has complained about a vendor. He has contributed by....razzing a vendor about a policy that is written prior to him ordering. Of his four posts, I think one of them was trying to repost the same complaint in different areas. Is this what you are fighting to defend?

Ok, you don't even know what you're talking about because the thread was deleted by TFD. I tried to end the mess by telling people the final outcome and my views on TFD's new thread. It's just there was no outcome except TFD changing their policy, so I said I wasn't too happy about it. I'm sorry if I kicked the horse last, but I meant it to be the last time.

Word. You went on the cheap, you can't expect the same level of service you get at your lfs.

I live in KANSAS! I can't find anything but goldfish and guppies here. I didn't go for the cheap prices, TFD is one of the only venders that I've seen with a elephant nose knife. I went for the exotic, cause I like knife fish. Sorry, I didn't know I couldn't expect them to live up to their own policies.

I had a good laugh when you said you wouldn't ever order from him again...Do you think they would sell to you? You complain that TFD is the only vendor that could get you a specific fish...I guess you will really do without in Kansas now. The only guy who could get you the fish, and you still beat him down on the price. You know you would pay three times the price if you saw it at a local store. And they probably ordered it from TFD.

Honestly I do not care where he posted it. I don't understand why he is being flamed for his opinion. I just looked at his website. The only thing I see is that it says live arrival guarantee. That is pretty vague. If what aranos says is true then how would he know when they were shipped. According to him he says they never called or e-mailed him with a flight time. I do not know about you, but I do not know any mind readers. If they truley did not call him or contact him, then they are 100% at fault. Nothing you say will change that fact. That is what I am defending the fact that the vendor needs to step up and take responsibility and honor his live arrival policy, if the facts stated are true. But instead he told the client to **** off. BAD BUSSINESS no matter how you justify it.

No I don't "complain" that TFD is the only vender that can get me a certain fidh. I praise them for being one of the only venders able to do so. I complain that their misleading me lead to the death of my fish. I think I will have to live without my elephant nose knife now. But not because I beat him down on the price, rather because he shipped it in freezing weather without telling me so I didn't know to pick it up. More of my fish have died since then, and I didn't ask for credit for them because they arrived alive. All I asked for was for them to honor their policy, because it was their fault the fish died to begin with. He told me to scew off. What else was I supposed to do?
