Well, today was the day. I wanted to go home to visit my gf and family, and decided it was time to do the trade. I put my cobalts in a nice 5g bucket with plenty of water, and bagged up a few random fish that my pbass were out-competing for food. I got in the car and drove to store Y, stopping first to have sushi (non-fish) in my favorite restraunt, which happens to be in the same town as store Y. (Store Y is only 20 minutes out of the way from the drive home, and it has sushi and store Y) I picked up 3 tsn's at $8 a piece, and drove straight to store X. I had talked to the fish manager there, and he told me he would give me what he promised upon delivery. An hour later, I handed over the 10 fish to store X. I had paid a total of $26 for all of them (the cobalts came with my tank, the random ones were from a friend, and $8+tax a tsn) and recieved a credit for $113. Tomorrow, I pick up my 5" blue phantom pleco, and another $53 worth of fish (maybe a green phantom?).
Who else would have done the same thing if given the opportunity?
BTW, the ethics part is that I only paid $8 at one store for the tsn's, and recieved $18 credit when I traded them in at the other.
