God was created by people that could not accept the fact that life is lived for what happens during the time your alive. It is a scapegoat for people that lack the moral fortitude to go to work and do the right thing every day to better themselves and society. They are instead lured in by the promise of eternal bliss.
There are 3 kinds of people in this world

1. people who do the right thing because it is the right thing to do.

2. people who do the right thing because there is a reward.

3. people who do the right thing because they fear punishment for doing the wrong thing.

I try to be a #1 as often as possible but i will admit that I don't speed on the highway because I don't want a ticket .

And why cant someone be all 3 ?

I do the right thing becuase its the right thing to do, because there is a reward and because I know I should fear God.

I also dont think you should critisize people's belief in God. Who the heck do you think you are to say we lack moral fortitude and that we made our religion up. Are you all knowing?!?!

In conclusion I live my life the best I can and treat others the way i would want to be treated.

Well then, if thats the case. You have no moral fortitude and just make stuff up to help yourself feel better.
(I'm just repeating to you what you said about others, you said thats how you want to be treated)

I respect other peoples opinion but do not practice any religion.

where are all these supposed christians (yuck, I hate even typing that word) that dont believe in the literall bible, I spent 20 years in that christian bull crap life and not once did I ever hear someone say it wasnt all 100% true. but whatever, go Evolution, we need to go fight christianity and not take over the middle east, take down the vatican and every sect of christians that spewed out of it, I would volunteer in a second. If there is no God, who decides what is the right thing to do? Some people think that killing other productive members of society is OK, that may include us. I just pose the question.
