gotta ditto to that. not only are the fish themselves as pretty if not prettier (betta or gourami compared to goldfish), but more importantly the water would certainly be prettier with the betta or gourami. after an hour or probably much less, a small vase with a goldfish will most likely have very cloudy water from the waste produced, whereas with a much less messy betta or gourami there's a much better chance the water would stay clear throughout the ceremony. plus the fish should survive as well and not be floating in the vases.
I used betas for my wedding it was a hit! In a big Champaigne glass with floating candles in it. My friend actually made a lot of money that nite because people paid him to eat the fish

how about putting a 30 gallon tank on each table with one fish per tank
Thanks everyone I never thought of using gouramis or bettas instead ill talk to my friend and see if I can get her to change her mind.
