Fish for 120 Gallon

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If you're looking for bottom feeder you could try a stripped raphael, tiger shovelnose cat, or even loaches clean up really well. Good luck

Yea loaches are good cleaners to i guess but they grow very very very slow.... and are very skitish they spooke my arowanas all the time..

if i was u do the fish u want no matter what people say u never know it might work out..
like people say dont keep 2 arowanas together they will fight all the time.i have 2 in my 120gallon and ones 5" the outhers 6" they only fight when they go into eachouthers ter

good luck and keep me posted with what u decide to go

thanks.
haha yeah, oscars are great.

my family had one like 14 years ago.

alright well i narrowed my list down a bit.
what do you guys think?
[i really dont know much about ca/sa cichlids so i need the advice]

Thorichthys meeki [firemouth]
Crypotheros Sajica [TBar Cichlid]
Cichlasoma Salvini [Salvin's Cichlid]
Herotilapia multispinosa [Rainbow Cichlid]
Cichlasoma Nicaraguerse [Nicaragua Cichlid]

Herichthys carpinte [texas cichlid]
Heros severus [severum]
Astronotus ocellatus [oscar]
Cichlasoma festivum [festivum]
Cichlasoma facetum [Chameleon cichlid]

Pimellodus pictus [pictus cat]
Plecos [royal or sailfin or trinidad]

lol.
now lets get that down further.
i need to know what species of these will work togather and which ones to remove and maybe what species of fish to add.
remember im looking for newworld fish.
thanks again

2 severums
2 rainbow cichlids
2 firemouths
2 salvini
2 sajica
3 pim pictus
1 pleco

how does this sound?
I kinda want something else.
like a show fish.
One that will now stay out in the open and not hide like the cichlids/catfish.

that sounds good exsept if the firemouths pair up i dont know what would happen. all i know is my convicts that paired up killed all my outher fish. and for a show off fish how about a
jd? they are colorful as hell dont know how well it would do in the tank though

i think even if your firemouths pair up there should be enough room for them to guard them without harassing the other fish to much. the setup sounds good. should look really nice.

thanks everyone.
do you think there will be enough activity in the tank?
and is there any fine proofing I need to make in the list before I go out and buy these fish?
like get festivums or something else?
i was thinking of getting fei feng [flagtail prochilodus] in there.
idk, just to break up the majority of cichlids.
get some different acting fish.
