Fish for a 30g tank??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
What about a shortbody flowwerhorn??? I have some (none for sale right now), but two are 5" and the other is 4.5" They dont get big long bodies like regular flowerhorns, and they are cute as can be, in an ugly kinda way-lol. Great personalities. One male I got from Thailand a few days ago was friendly from the second he got here, and the next day started doing backflips when I would come in the room, now thats his fav. thing to do. I love flowerhorns. There is nothing like them. My mom has an 11" male that does frontflips when he gets happy.

I am not an expert or even at "intermediate" level when it comes to New World Cichlids, the following is just as much a question as it is a suggestion:

What about the following fish in that order of preference?

1. Gold/Red Severums?
2. Convicts
3. Solitary Green Terror
4. Dwarf Cichlids (rams, etc)

Green Terrors or Severums shouldn't be housed in a 30. Cons and dwarfs can do well in a 30.

I would try getting a Jack Dempsey or a mananganese. I had a pair of convicts with a jack dempsey and they were ok as well.
