Yes, I intend to keep it. I love when they get big. That is why I never overstock. I have no bought a fish in ages because everyone is doing so good. But ya, I get too attached to my fish to sell them when they get big.
My Goal is to keep fish for life.. but sometimes things change. Whan that happens I find a good home for them. can't predict what curve balls life will throw at you. My fish are high on my priority list, but thay aren't on the top. And sometimes my tastes change. I don't treat them any different then any other "pet" but they are still pets.
Great question and great thread! I'd like to think, " of course I'd never get a fish or any animal for that matter that I wasn't willing to keep for life in the best possible enviorment" But.... currently I have alot of africans (small ones) in a 65. They will outgrow it. I have plans to get a 300 but its possible I won't be able to purchase it by the time I need it. If it becomes necessary I'd won't have a moral or ethical problem giving a few to a friend or even the LFS.
