^^dirty lol^^

Chris now a days not all fh have tri in them but most and all classic fh do.

Mixed opinions posted about worth...

It really depends were you baught it.. At lfs a large fish like that would cost 75-125 regardless if fh or tri, it is obviously fh though.

At a store specilizing in fh you would not find that fish @ that size ever...maybe small fry that would grow into that fish...but a breeder woulda kulled that fish before it got that big.

Private seller could ask anything imo its a 40 fish just fir the size and a nice addition for you tank

The kok may swell slightly depending on mood/feeding but not to any large degree,

If i were you i would consintrate on feeding foods high in carotines, dont buy fh specialty foods (rip off). Rather go with nls or another good pellet and an astaxanthin addattive, he will really color up brightly

I realize that but I just think that if it doesn't have even smallest amount of Trimac at some point in it then it can't be considered a flowerhorn. Just like how you can't consider Rose Queen a flowerhorn and Red Shock and Red Monkeys according to Dave.

I cant dispute without facts, but i know a few malaysian importersthat would def say red monkeys and red shock are louhan, maybe not zen zou lou han as they dont have zz pearls but i guess with these hybrids opinion will differ considering the history and evolution of the fh is spread across the far east and info may be different depending on what beeeders you talk to.... But i would take any info from the origins, then apply the evolution... Fh from thia, china, viet, phillipines, are all slightly different from the breeder input to thier evolution.

As alway I these are my opinions not fact as fact surrounding the fh is cloudy
Dave? From petzone

How about thai silk....cloud history with no proof of tri ancestory yet who will disput its an fh

This will some what support the tri theory, "hybrid" and fh is open to evolution...and in this evolution chart it isnt 100% expressed that all of the fish have tri genes only that tri s were involved in the creation of one or all of the 3 originating fh, cloudyness.... We know purebred origins of these fh include combinations of the fish at the top of the chart but only all the different original breeders can truly know the combinations of them...I dont think any of these creators were named Dave lol

The family on the right "Hua Lou Han" doesnt display tri markings raising the questions i ask

I keep getting these emails asking how its done and if its a rarity or not...
The fish is not so rare, but their have been famous breeding pairs in the past one
belonging to the first ever breeding pair who is Brother Wuddy, he's also an aquabid seller.. he invented
the Red Monkey (Famous RS or SRS of the past) yet that pair died off a while ago... Leaving us with what we now
call the Red Shock or Super Red Shock ( SRS is an unfaded RS)... Even though it might sound easy when I tell you how its made,
It's actually a difficult task, and not only that but the male should have a pretty good size kok...

Im sure by now you would love to have the recipe for this fish right....
Ok then here ya go...

Hartweji red (Male)
red syn (female)

Below I have attached photos of Wuddys off spring of this recipe and what then was know to all as the Red Monkey...
Happy breeding guys...

Dave
