He looks a little better. But there's no need for you to be confused if it is a Festae or not, because it definitely isn't a Festae. I can't say if it's crossed with a Festae or not, but it certainly isn't a full-blooded Festae. It looks to be a Mayan for sure. The odd colors and patterns are still throwing me off though. I still believe it may be a Mayan hybrid or some variant.

Id give it a few months of 50%+ weekly water changes before using any meds. Ive never found anything that worked better than that, med wise.

Yea, i hate to say it but after looking at the SUPER sized photos on the 2nd page, it's HITH. I've had luck with a lot of my recuse just doing the 50% WC thing. I kept the water clean and was good in a short 6 months in most cases. Also with myans, i have found they can tollerate a higher salt content, which may help some.
By the way, I think he's a she. Just going by the black blotch on the dorsal. All of my past females had that blotch, but it's never 100%.
