I've been having trouble coming to a conclusion on what my Cichlid may be. I've had little input on what he may be (fairly certain it's a male) although it comes down to P. Friedrichstahlii (La Ceiba), P. Loisellei, and P. Motaguense (Gold/Normal)

Note: I live in WA and purchased this Cichlid as a Salvini around 2-3" from a local pet store.

Below I've uploaded a few poorly shot photos of him, keep in mind that there have been times where his dotted black bar becomes much more apparent, as well as his vertical stripes on the body and the yellow in the head. Anytime this has happened there was either another fish near/in the tank, or he saw his own reflection.

I'm not home at the moment, but when I am I'll try to get some photos of him when his yellow/bars/line is much more visible. All input is appreciated, thanks.

Over the past few years I've tried to introduce him to other fish in a few different ways. He's killed a pleco around twice his size, although we didn't leave anything else in there long enough for him to kill. I've tried adding a few oscars slightly bigger than him, he damaged all of them in a heartbeat. Once tried adding him to a dovii tank, the dovii was a year or so younger, but an inch or two bigger, and the dovii got bullied to the point we also had to separate them.

More photos, just got back and took a few with flash. He doesn't seem to get the strong black bar when he sees his reflection anymore.

I've seen several like this and they were jagxmota hybrids. It could be jagxfred to. This kind of dishonesty is why most people hate hybrids.
