It's a Leporinus striatus, as Guppy said. A really nice one... :drool:
I don't think they are rare... But the Leporinus fasciatus is caught/ exported more frequently, IMO.
Aside from the colors, they are the same to keep. Lots of fun, lots of intraespecific aggression, sometimes lots of fin-nipping and bites (never had one like this, BTW). :thumbsup:
