Fish Identification

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yeah, I have overstocked before myself but there is waaay too much going on in there man. You have to get more familiar with these fish and their needs. BTW the Jacks aren't usually any more aggressive than anything else in that tank.

Ok Yea I'm new to the cichlids really but I never planned on buying them my girlfriend bought them cause they were pretty she said lol .But I like them myself so what do I do now .

Can the aro still turn around? You need to upgrade that dude to like a 24"+ width

Yea he can turn around easily there is plenty of room soon I'm getting a second tank for some of my other fish so he will have this tank almost to himself

That's good that you are getting another tank, but your gonna need a big one for those guys. Most of those fish are young. The arowana though will grow to two feet long so he needs a much larger tank than you will ever be willing to buy.

Yea I figured the arowana would need a much bigger tank. But the others what am I looking at then cause I don't have a clue it seems lol. If you can't tell I'm kinda new to this been years since I owned a tank .Everything has changed so much since then.

I'm thinking of buying an all pound solutions external filter soon it's 2000 L/H with uv light. Anyone know if they are good. It shouldh handle my setup till I get a second tank .

Nice fish! I would get rid of arowana until a big tank is set up. How many fish do you have total in the tank? Don't worry many overstock at first. It's best to see pictures of the fish mature so you realize just how big they get.
