Fish in a 10g?

i like the idea of the planted tank with like 15 cardinal tetras, some ottos, a few cories, and nothng else. as for plants you would also want to look into some special gravel for planted tanks. gl

yeah google low tech planted tanks you should find loads of info.
 
For low light plants, I'd go with things like crypts (some do require a little higher light), java fern, and java moss. I had a setup like this (in a 20 long) and it turned out absolutely gorgeous with the stock light fixture of the tank and Eco-complete substrate. The plants grew and really filled out everything and had great color

Has anyone heard of using potting soil under a layer of kitty litter? Let me be your guinea pig. If you have any ideas post em here because this is going to be as low $ as possible. Thanks
