Fish in transit for to long

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
that sucks, i know about the size issue. all of the fish i've ordered online has been smaller than the size i paid for.

Everyone over estimates the size of a fish, like someone said earlier, if it's 2" or so difference that is common. I was told in an email it was at least 20" and probably longer.

As long as I get refunded soon I'll be fine.. I need to find someone on the east coast with a larger one.

If the seller doesn't make it right with a refund, post their name & give a review of your experience. Its what I did when I had an issue with the crappy service & product I got from aquariumplants.com. It won't get your money back but it will make you feel better and warn others about the shady seller.

Sorry for your loss man. Ive backed out of a couple buys before cause the seller only wanted to do extended shipping. I never felt safe enough.
Im not sure if its any help but a LFS in VA Beach gets large fire eels in quite often. I know ive seen at least a few 16"+.

The seller keeps saying "shipping is non refundable". I'm very persistent on getting that back as they did not ship it the way they stated they would. They are a new seller on ebay, 60 positives but I'll probably end up being their first NEG. I'm not going to call them out yet because I said if I receive a full refund I'd leave a neutral stating they fixed the issue, so far it looks like I'm going to have to go through ebay though.

That sucks man, sorry for the loss.

You said the seller said it was free shipping. If the shipping was free everything you paid went towards the fish. The seller shouldn't refund you for shipping because shipping was free. You should get 100% of your money back because that was the price of the fish.

Earlier you said that the expedited shipping was free and he wasn't going to spend $45 for faster shipping. Then you said yhay he said that shipping isn't refundable. If shipping was free, what is there to refund? Anyways, I have a friend who delivers mail and told him about the situation. Did you get a tracking number and checked the status of the package. See where it was last at. Then call the post office station for your zip code and raise hell. He said he would never send anything live thru the post office unless it was by express mail which is supposed to reach you by 12 noon the next day. Even that is iffy. He said packages get thrown around all the time even marked fragile which isn't handled any differently than a regular package. Chances don't look good but keep us updated.
