I am trying to raise a single flowerhorn, in a 55 gallon tank. The fish I've bought range in size from 1.5 to 3 inches. Over a 5 week period I have not had any success. Within two days the fry are dead. All parameters, chlorine, nitrite, nitrate, and ammonia are at optimal levels. Water is pristine clean. But the fish keep dying after only a couple of days. What else can I do. I have a second tank that is running perfectly. Even transferred some of the media and gravel tfrom old tank to new tank. I've already spent about 200 dollars on new fish. I've tested the water and even had it tested at the local fish store. I've also done 20 percent water changes every few days, even though parameters are good.
