I think fish keeping was a manifestation of my fascination with the ocean. Growing up here in Hawaii I learned to fish, surf, and free dive at a young age. It was natural to keep a fish, and my parents encouraged it. It's a great hobby for everyone!

Fish keeping to me is a life. I have been in the hobby for 4 years, though not long compared to most of you guys. I dont think I can not keep fishes, im so use to going outside everyday to look at my fishes, feed them and clean the tanks.
Well, given that I derive all of my income from fish and fish related activities and then spend a good deal of my free time with fish and doing fish related activities I'd say it's definetely a life for me

I would have to say it's part of my life. I tried doing without fish, but found myself keeping even a small tank for the 3 months I was away on my internship. I only went 2 weeks without a tank and decided that I needed it.
Fishkeeping is a definitely a part of my life. I have been in fishkeepings for 6 yrs but didn't become an addiction until I found MFK. I have fish as my desktop at work, I cannot go more than a week without look in the MFK classified section, and I devote time to cleaning the tank so it's definitely a part of life.
Fizh keeping is like a beautiful lady, 1st u get infatuated, then u fall n luv, next thing u know u marry her. But not always 4keeps or 4ever cause life throws curve balls. But 4 most of us who's pasionate about it itz 4 life!!!!!!!
For me its a life now. I started off with just dwarf platy's in a 6g and it didn't take long before I expanded, became attached, fell in love with fish. So they are part of my crew now. Just like the dogs and cats are. Part of the family, and my family is my life.
This is a pretty hardcore site. So for most or shall I say alot here it's a way of life. Me personally I go back and forth.. most of the times it's a way of life, and on bad days I step back from it and make it a hobby..
