Why would the insurance company have to pay for the loss? Why isn't the guy who caused the damage responsible for paying the store back???
This is one of the only parts of working at a fish store I hate-working with angry idiot customers. Reminds me of a guy who blew up in my face because I asked him for his receipt when giving him back store credit for a flame angel that he bought. Apparently, he files his receipts and he couldn't be troubled to get it back out to get back $80!! Especially when for him to even be able to return it, he would have had to have filed it in the last 7 or fewer days. He said the manager had ALWAYS done it for him in the past, but I politely told him that A) I was not allowed to do it without the receipt, and B) since he was being so rude, he needed to ask another employee for assistance cause I was done talking to him...
Love guys like this. One LFS here has a nice open tropical aquarium with some real nice fish. I go just to look at watch the rays and other fish I don't have space for right now. It is perfect eye level for kids to see the life in it and escape to their own little world. Idiots like this will make sure those open tanks at eye level are inaccesible to everyone else. As for guy with reciept problem I get that. I go to the same store a lot now its a half hour drive. I go because I trust the staff and find them very knowledgable. I'm in there one day and some guy is just berating one of the employees there. This employee I one day spent 1 hour with just chatting guy really knows his stuff. So I'm listening dude is pissed his fish died and thinks he should be getting more than an exchange but a two for one. He thought cause they were a reputable store they shouldn't be having fish die. I think they should have told him fish die and he was SOL and no fish or money back. So keep it up at the store guys like myself really appreciate good help.

y would anyone do that its just stupid and a waste of life. if you have a grudge with the owner, take it outside. plus, if the guy looked like he was up to something y didnt someone say something to him? its awful
