I really dont know :nilly: i just wanted to keep him as a pet but i mean arent 60G tanks expensive? and im a newbie to this stuff so i was just stupid and didnt to my research. :( i just feel so bad im giving him a **** life and i dont know what to do. Petsmart wont take him back. So im just stuck and screwed and this is a fishes worst dream probely. . ending up with a stupid newbie fish keeper who is half retarted and doesnt know what he is doing and didnt even to the fish cycle before I got him..

A 60 gallon tank is nowhere near big enough for a pacu. Hopefully you can find someone else to take him. Within a year or two, he'll need a tank of several THOUSAND gallons

Wow Petsmart really screwed me over this time.. it said requires 20g tank for his description. Wow this is just stupid. I need to know if i put him in a plastic ziplock bag with some water obviously will he be ok to travel to the pet store?

This is really sad. When i think about it i get teary eyed and have to leave the room where the fish tank is.
 
They will take it back because they missold it to you,is there not something like some kind of authority you can contact about their refusal to take it back?

and i would definately put up a craigslist ad and a FS thread here just saying it is free to a good home. you can also go to fish stores(not pet but fish) and look for one with a big tank (300ish) and see if they will take him, dont take him back to petsmart!
