Fish randomly dying

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
ya that is over dosing. prime/safe great stuff. been using safe for years. 2.2LB bottle treats 200,000g water for around 70 bucks. I change around 500g a week so a great deal versus prime.

I've been on well water for 4 years or so, and my tank size didn't break 55 gallons. I definitely wouldn't if I were you.

stuff is safe up to 5 times the regular dosage but for the life of me can never see doing that, when i can just change the water. which is by far more preferable.

I will try prime. I only use the stress coat because I work for a LFS and API sends me the gallons for free lol

Okay update. Today I came home from work and found 6 dead fish. My large beloved rainbows all dead. Further look, all my Cory cats eyes are eaten out.... so I took the tank apart. Did a major water change. Took out every single aggressive fish that I could possibly own. Now I'm left with Pristilla tetras, 2 black ghosts, some corys, 2 clown loaches, 3 smaller rainbows, and a roseline shark... I'm thinking my issues stemmed from some aggressive fish, picking off my fish 1 by 1 .

In total I got rid of 5 large upside down cats, 1 green severum, a cherry barb or two and 2 pictus cats

As far as the corys eyes being eaten. I must have 15-20 corys with 1 or no eyes now. So unless there's a Cory eye disease it had to be aggression
