However lepisosteus, the people in question simply offer to take in fish for their own benefit yet they don't care about the fish at all.
I agree with the point being made. I disagree with the statement about flipping products in general. Tell me the guy who buys and restores a 67 mustang from a farmer who has it rotting away in a field doesn’t deserve to flip it for 100x the profit

I'm not going to get involved in the discussion between yall but I will add a funny story of my own about flipping.
Anyway, last year I wanted to make a bit of easy money in school. Non diet sodas are not sold in lunch so I saw a market. I got a few of those 48 packs of different sodas from sams club then shoved a bit of everything in my mine fridge. I got a very large lunch box (made for picnics actually and I could fit about a dozen soda cans in there), added some ice packs, put the sodas in there, then went about my way to school. I charged $0.50 for a can and was making a profit on each can. I also sold gatorades, bottled of soda, powerades, and a few other things. Tall skinny soda bottles sold for $1.50 I think, fat gatorades sold for $2 I think. I made $50 in the first and last week I was open. A bunch of idiots gathered around me at lunch one day which drew the teachers attention which shut down "Brian's black market". It's still a joke this year as a few people form last year are still around.

I regret nothing lol.

Your definition of a flipper is someone who "makes money out of someone elses misery." You're calling Lepisosteus Lepisosteus a scumbag, which is so out of order by the way you should be ashamed of yourself. How do you know that the people who he sold the goods to lived a life of misery. For all you know they could have been over the moon that they'd bought second hand goods from him that would have cost them maybe double in the shops?

A drug dealer would be a better example of a scumbag flipper. Same principal, buying goods for "x" and selling them on for "y", and that would fit your description of someone making money out of someone elses misery.

Lepisosteus has done absolutely nothing wrong, and neither has fishhead0103666 fishhead0103666 for selling his drinks in school and making a little profit for his efforts.

Wow, this seemed to escalate quickly?

Since when did fixing up/restoring things become a bad thing?

Taking a free animal and promising to give it a good home. Only to cram it into a small tank until they can sell it for an inflated price all while claiming to be a “rescue” is what I thought was being discussed.

Fixing things up to resell is very common place. And really much better for the environment, is it not?
Not everyone has the time, money, or skill to fix things up. Why shouldn’t those who can take the opportunity to do so?

How did this shift away from talking about animals?

In my opinion those who get mad about flipping items are those who are unable to do it themselves.
There's entire markets where flipping is the only means. Antiques are a great example. Dealers pay the previous owner an amount that suits them and then in turn try and make a profit off of said item. It's very common and as long as the person doing the flipping does not do either party dirty there is nothing wrong with it.
