Is everything going as planned?

So far so good except for the (Fishroom Wall) filter wall which is supposed to be all the way to the bottom of the pond base. The intention is to separate the filter section from the main indoor pond area. This area will be joined by a bottom drain pipe connection. Return water will be from a Bakki Shower DIY at the other end through two 2" pipe. (more or bigger can be put in as needed even after the pond is completed)

Have spoken to the contractor and he say that it will be bricked up later as they wanted to make the filter and pond base as a single concrete casting to ensure a leak free base.

Will have to test the pond the next few days and see whether any seepages / leaks happens.

Did not have to wait as the water seepage from the joint between the wall and the corner beam was rather obvious. The ground water was yellowish and so the seepage/ leak was easily seen.

This would be rectified later as well.

The Red circle shows the area where the problem is. The Filter Wall beam is the cause of the leak as i found that this part was not mixed with the water proofing compound like the pond base. :( One of these things aaarrg.

Do you know what the cause is?

It's caused by the ground beam that connects the two far ends of the pond wall. The worker forgot to add in the water proofing liquid (An Additive to the cement mix before pouring into the jig). I am not sure how they will cure this one. The supervisor will let me know when they do this later.

Work on the Fish Room Wall have started and it is going up rather fast. There's still plenty of water from the rain.

The pictures shows the Fish Room Wall brick laying over the beam dividing the filter from the indoor pond. In Pic1 you can clearly see the gap between the floor beam and the pond base. This will also be bricked up when completed.

Plenty of water on the pond base.

Oh man, that stinks. You can expect stuff like that is going to happen, but you really wish it didn't. Kepp us updated on the fix.
