Fish Room and Indoor Pond 24' by 7' by 4'

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The Fish Room Back wall is bricked up today. Glass bricks will be used to allow some light into the room. It's meant to be 2 eyes and a mouth. The Hole at the upper center of the wall is for a ventilation fan.

Pic 2 Front Angle of the Fish Room Leaving space for the Front windows and at the side where the filter are 2 more windows (Pic 3)

Pic 3 Blue Circle show the Brick top up for the Filter and same for the indoor pond section. This will raise the pond wall slightly so that when complete it should be about 2' above the floor. Just nice to sit on and watch the fishes.

Right next to the blue circle you can just see the Black water pipe where this will go to a basin for wash up, cleaning and incoming town water.

Continue pics of the Back Wall Bricking activities

Pic 1 The Glass Brick layout is more clearly seen here now.

Pic 2 Just below the Blue circle you can see the problem area where the ground water is leaking into the pond. It is more severe now as the rain came again in the evening. The Yellow stain is clearly seen on the wall section down to the pond base.

Pic 3 Going to the back of the house to have a look at the Worker doing the Brick laying with his helper and scapfolding.

This is all that was done on the fish room today.

More updated on the Fish Room Walls. They have now finished the Glass Brick Windows. The Door Frame is just set up but no cementing done there yet.

Pic 1 and 3 Leveling using a Tube filled with water to set the floor level.
Rain have stopped and the pond base is drying up.

Pic 2 Door Frame fixed with a few pieces of wood. Longer Blue circle shows where the house supply to the fish room will go in the white piping. This will be concealed when the walls are plastered.

The second smaller blue circle shows the incoming water pipe.

Today is bright and sunny. and this was taken early in the morning.

Monster Face to go along with the Monster fish. Hope that no one gets a fright in the middle of the night from this. Cheers.

Another view from the back lane. If you re walking here late at night do watch out. Might get swallowed. Blue circles are the beams on the wall ready for the RC Roofing. Waiting for the Roof Jig to be done first.

Theres an old sliding door from the house which is right between the Fish room and the Wall. This will be bricked up and a small viewing window left so the activities in the Fish room could be seen from the living room. The pic show the bricking done, Angle is from the dinning area. Just to the left you can see bags of cement and the water proofing compound is in the white plastic container on the right of the cement bags with yellow label sticker.

The Jig for the roof is starting to take shape although there are still plenty of work to be done before the cement pouring can take place. Just the Boards are up. The RC Rods will be added probably in a few days time. The Ceiling Boards are shored up from below the fishroom. I missed the activities as i was not there. This are some pics of the almost completed roof jig.

The windows, doors frame are fixed i think not permanent yet as the edges are still un-cemented. You can see part of the RC rods which have been tied up in a box shape ready for insertion into the Roof Jig Channels. This will become the Roof Beams. Four of them above the Fish Room.

In Pic 2 The Blue square box is where they will complete bricking up the wall later as this is left open now to facilitate access to the work areas.
