Here's some additional work that's just done. This time the RC Have just been laid across the Wooden Jigs and Boards. Tied together with bare zinc coated wires (I think it is Zn). Not completely done as yet. more to come later.

Some more work pics on the RC roof.

Pic 1 show the rc rods connection to the main wall of the original house.
This is the center beam which runs across the middle of the fish room. The Wires that ties the bars together can also be seen in this photo.

Pic 2 Shows one of the worker adjusting the Rods and putting a small pebble underneath the RC Rods to ensure that it is at the right distance above the plywood boards. This will ensure that the RC rods are at the right height above when the cement is poured next week.

Before going off for the day The rest of the items for the RC Roof Slab is put into place ready for the concrete laying next week. So it will be a few days till the concrete truck comes for the next part of the roofing section.

Pic 1 shows a close view of a inlet pipe which will be used in the fish room.


Pic 2 Shows one of the 4" Plastic Socket for the Water Run Off. This particular one will be tapped to make use of the rain water for the pond below. Have not thought of the mechanism of how to do this yet. Probably some kind of valve arrangement ??

Pic 3 Shows the overview of both the White Run off and FishRoom inlet pipe. The fishroom inlet pipe will be from a water tank which will seat on top of this RC roof slab. This will be part of a kind of water security just in case the taps run dry.

In Pic 3 your can also see the little pebbles/stones used to raise parts of the RC Rods off the Wooden Jig Board. The distance is around 1" to 1.5"
To see the difference Look at Pic 2 again and then compare with Pic 3 for the height of the rods above the boards. Pic2 is before the pebbles are inserted.


So it's heading for the week end and looking forward to next week when the cement top up for the RC roof begins. Till then Cheers and have a great week end.

Depends on what is it that you are buying. Arowana the local protected species is cheap compared what you would be able to get in Europe, North America. Feeder Gold Fish - 1USD buys 30 1" ones.

Filter mats from Jap. A Coarse Matala mat 2M cost about USD85

Ehiem pumps and similar imported european one are rather expensive with import duty excise tax added and so on.

Cars are very expensive compared to the USA, Europe. A honda Civic cost USD42K and up depending on the accessories.

Housing well i do not know. This particular Unit with 26' by 60' of additional land cost appox USD100K build up area is only 1,300 sq ft. three small rooms ranging from 10' by 10'

Oh!, one more thing, i think it is relative to what your salary or take home pay is if you are working or in my case not working then everything become a $$ issue.

Personally i like the cheap arowana better. LOL...

So hope we have more fishes migrating over to Malaysia.
BTW Malaysia do have a very attractive program for interested foreigners who wishes to live and stay.
