While getting ready to add more various type of fishes to the old sump section.
Some Clay pots were readied and put in place to provide some hiding and
safe places etc.

Looking at the last two pics. the algae are starting to grow
on the pvc return water pipe.

Maybe some small algae eater could be added to keep that in check soon.

Barbs are now added to the sump. Moving too fast for this camera.
Have to use a better one to take more pics later.

The blue circle are the barbs .. seems all blurry with their fast swimming.

Another thing to note. Look at the course Jap Map now clear of algae growth
as compared to the previous method with the submerge media.

Looks like the shower style is a big help in this algae growth control thing.

Better pics with the sunlight shinning. Seem the Barbs like the flower pots part.
Squabbling over territory ?

More pots would be added to the sum.
Pic 3 show the water circulation in the sump.
The Water fall end of the outlet is set to push the water along the
bottom edge wall of the picture. This set up a slow counterclockwise
water movement in the section. The effect only works halfway down the sump.

This would be where the potty pieces would be added.
More staff such as drift wood ect could be added should it be needed.

Putting in the pots 1 at a time into a few different part of the Old sump filter.

Remember this section is about 24 feet in length and so lots of space to be filled.

There were already some pots and cut pieces of 6 inch pvc pipes as shown
in the last pic. Will be adding as an when the urge comes. :naughty:

Weekly will be Putting in all the smaller fishes first b4 going for the larger sizes
as the weeks go by.

Two more places here and there.

This should provide more hiding and hopefully a more easier time when
taking the photos. Already the Tiger barbs are exploring the new potty.

Few more smaller potty pieces to add to the decor.

The larger 6 inch pvc pipe was cut into small pieces to provide additional
spaces for the fishes that need them. Originally this was intended for the
Jewel cichlids in a separate glass tank.
