Fish room setup

Something else to do while you save money is make a drawing of how you want them all arranged. Come up with a plan on how you will utilize your filters. Large fish stores filter many of their tanks from the same filter. With a fish room, I'd try to do the same. I know at this pint this is largely a dream and it's years off but just start slowly and methodically. The more you plan, I bet your plans will change. Maybe for your birthday you could get some equipment to set up one new tank. Every tank you set up will teach you something new that will influence your next one.

How old are you now and what expierence do you have with fishkeeping?

Well, Happy Birthday!

Keep reading here and keep trying new things. I'm 38 and still need lots of advice from these guys.

Also like I said when I am fifthteen I will get a job at petco which will be a couple hundred a week.

Not to be a negative nancy but if you are still in school federal law prohibits you from working more than 18 hours a week during the school year if you are under 16. State law may limit this further. After 16 there is no federal limit on hours but there may be state limits.

Petco probably pays close to minimum wage which is $7.25. So lets be generous and say Petco pays $8/hr. After taxes you are only going to be taking home about $100 a week. And if Petco is not close to home, gas costs are going to eat a very large portion of that money.

During the summer you can work 40 hours a week which equals about $240 a week in take home pay. And from experience, 40 hour work weeks are not sustainable while also performing adequately in school so even after you turn 16, during the school year it will be very hard to make that much money.
