My cousin,an avid fisherman,says when you are smelt dipping you have to bite the head off of the first smelt you dip for luck....

this is my 666 post . no better place than the superstition thread ... since i lost track of that devilish thread that was going on ...
Just something I've noticed, naming your fish seems to be bad luck. Whenever I get really attached to a fish and name it, something always happens 
My fish tanks at home have to face a certain direction. A 4 foot tank is too long to fit in any of these spots. My dad also claims my mom hasn't sold a house ever since i got rid of my FLowerhorn..
