Fish tank outside??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ok, I think I'll just move it out in summer, and move it in in winter. It will be the best, and easiest thing to do..

Thanks to everyone that contributed, it helped out a lot.

Dont forget the UV sterilizer...outside that tank will BLOOM!!!! Yes, even in the shade. You could wrap three sides of the tank in winter with insulation to aide in temp. preservation, but you would need good circulation to keep those fish alive in both winter and summer. Heat takes the O2 right out of the water in summer and a static heater relies on proper water movement. I think it would be awesome...just plan it out to avoid dead fish and dont abandon your tank maintenance duties...you know what they say..."out of sight, out of mind"...?

I think it would make it too hard, and i havent seen UV sterilizers in Argentina. I'll look for them but Im not sure if i will be able to put the tank there. Plus, moving the tank back and forth between summer and winter doesn't sound to appealing.
