Fish tank weight

The other day you said that you already had your floor inspected and you were already 50% over the suggested limit which is why you only bought a 20g instead of the 37g you wanted, now you want a 125? The only way that can happen is if you get rid of all your other tanks.

Well sorta. The inspector came and inspected the downstairs kitchen. Id assumed it would be the same thing until my parents told me the numbers would be very different.

You can have a 125 provided you go with the dimensions of a frag tank. The weight per square foot would be widely distributed (provided the tank is on an equal or larger flat pedestal-type stand). A 125 measuring 72x36x11 would have a distributed weight of about 70lbs per sq/ft. If your floor can't take that kind of weight, your parents are placing you in imminent danger.

People will scold you for calling MrBig out on the BS, so STOP IT. LOL

A 72" X 36" X 11" would take up about a third of my room. Remember my room is 14' X 14'. I have squeezed a queen size bed, gigantic corner desk, a dresser containing 2x 20g high's, a night stand, and a closet into the room. I definitely can't do 36" depth. 24" extreme max. 18"-21" more realistic. If it was 24" I couldn't open the stand doors. I could do 24" though if the stand was completely open. That's definitely a possibility. And I can only do 7' long max. 8' would block the doorway I think but ill have to check.

Also got a dozen houseplants all over and a huge window longer and taller than me. Facing northeast.

Have regretted buying that queen size for a long time. Should have got a twin. Only use like 1/3 of the bed...

Never regret buying a large bed...as for only using a third of the bed...sounds like a personal problem :D

What, your parents don't like aquariums?

No its just huge. I want my cat to sleep on the bed every night so I usually give him at least 1/2. Yes they don't like aquariums. But they do get occasionally attached to a select few fish. Like the baby datnoid, the german rams, etc...
