What happened and when did it happen ?
I have to dig up some pics of my hardware. So you dont feel lonely

I slipped on the uneven stone steps in our front yard. I didn't want to fall so started running and managed to go 15 ft more before I crashed into the cement sidewalk/brick retaining wall. Of course, my arm was out trying to protect my head. I missed my mother's 90th birthday party which was the next day. Little mother fell and broke her hip last week and was flown out nearly 4 hrs away. Most of our time is on the road between hospital and my medical appts with occasional visits home to feed cats, fish and do water changes.

Have to look forward to another surgery in several months to remove the plates, or I risk rupturing tendons on the plates

Ogh geez im so sorry your going through this. I hope you and your mom recover soon. Thats rough having to miss the bday. Are they replacing mom's hip?

They inserted a rod and nailed it in place. They expected her to stand and walk the next day. It didn't happen so they shipped her to a rehab facility today. To complicate things she is in end stage kidney failure and has peritoneal dialysis every night at home. Because it can't be done at the rehab facility, they put a port in her subclavian artery for hemodialysis (which is a step backwards for her) She will now have to be transported three times a week to a dialysis center Hopefully she musters the strength to stand and walk a little so she can go home.

I hope they ship tanks quicker than dry goods. That measly little $20 I saved doesnt seem worth it.
