Funny how so many tattoo artists lime working on their own bodies, even though it must be a literal P.I.T.A to do...

My old tattoo artist used to use his body as a graduation canvas for his students to work on (they would be allowed to do 1 piece after learning all the skills) and after awhile, he would randomly touch up said tattoos on his body that his students worked on but maybe didnt do too perfect a job the first time lol...

People wonder why their artists own tatts suck. Because you are your own canvass. That and i was tatt crazed and financially challenged in my early 20's. I did my left arm from my elbow up to my wrists, the front of both legs from ankle to near my hips and my front torso. Hardest part was the pain of cramps from contorting oneself for hours.

Lol, i could imagine that would be far from fun... just the twitches you sometimes get from hitting a nerve of muscle is already enough, let alone getting cramps ontop of that....

Was the koi a cover up or a touch up??? Looks really fresh compared to the rest of the artwork... nice either way, but just curious...
The koi was first just simple black and grey. Then I changed to an orange koi, then about 2 weeks ago I decided I wanted to make it an "Utsuri" variant of koi. (Japanese fire and ash). So added some black spots, yellow and reds into the orange.

All my tattoos are oriental, and all started off with black and grey. Now everything is colour haha. I have a dragon and lotus on the other arm.

welp I only got some wack stick-and-poke...

But I have wanted for years a big bichir tattooed on my chest or arm. Just waiting to turn 18 so my mom doesn't kill me
