I am looking for a list of different fish that meet this criteria.

1. In most cases must be housed singly due to excessive aggression.

2. Max growth no less then 12 inches

3. Max growth no larger then 3 feet

4. Can't be a snakehead or piranha

just about any freshwater puffer should be kept as a single specimen per tank, check out the puffer section on here

Someone already mentioned puffers, but the fahaka is a specific species that fits the requirements you've set up. The mbu is another large FW species, but they can often be housed with tankmates

Fahaka Puffer

Flowerhorn, several of the wolves, or Argentea come to mind. Of course everyone will have at least one example of stereotypical "solo" fish with tankmates though.

Flowerhorn, some Red Devils, Butti, some Midas, Dovii, some Jags.....the list can go on and on. The best thing is for you to pick a fish that you enjoy and make it a solo fish, and they will be happy to have all that room to themselves :)
