The other shop I got a 12" plec cost 12$ people bring them in constantly but somehow they seem to move out quick. Worries me a bit that they are just going where ever...well lol I didn't get asked how big my tank was when I bought mine.
All the shops here also have reptiles. Tons of boa constrictors. One poor guy had half his face chewed off by a live rat. I'm not sure if he hasn't been sold due to recovery pr just no one wants a deformed snake though. An albino burm that took a couple of months for the specialty reptile shop to sell but it was honestly not a snake many people would want to own. Always restless. Someone had rescued it because it was in too small of an enclosure and had scars all over it's body. It had blood all over from chomping on said rescuer who gave it them right after.

Kevin Greif;1649433; said:i cant say why, but at my lfs there is a tank with 4 large tinfoil barbs that i have seen grow in that little tank for 5 or 6 months now. the owner, whom i have a good relationship with, told me if after a year they are still not sold, they are all mine. so im keeping my fingers crossed haha
there is another lfs near me with a pond set up and they have a 15 inch redtail cat that has been there since they opened haha that things not going anywhere.
