They can't seem to sell alge eaters. Or large cichlids either (adult oscars, red terrors, buttis, so on.)

i was just in my LFS today and they had 10 redbellys of verying sizes and i asked what they wanted for them and the girl told me if i took them all she'd cut me one heck of a deal
keep in mind that these reds were anywhere from 4 inch to 6+inch she tld me that she has ppl the have them locally and they come into buy feeders but no one wants to buy new from her so with this in mind she said if i wanted them i could get them for aroud 100$ for them all

theres this fish farm which has this like 2foot lungfish been there for like 6 months or so... selling for like 200 bucks? (cant remember)
i was at my lfs last night before work, and i realized that the water cow they have there has been there for about a year. i was talking to the worker there and he told me they cant sell it cuz people dont notice it. his words made me laugh "you have no idea how many times a day people say you have a dead fish in that tank." made me laugh cuz the first time i saw it a year ago i to thought it was dead.

One of the pet stores in town has an Arrowhead puffer that has been there for about 1 1/2 years now. Been there since they opened up their fish section. Price never goes down, it's about $35. Told the fish guy I'd give him $25, but I always get turned down.
Where i work we have had 6 gold puffer which have been in for 5 months i just sold em all this weekend! We currently have about 200 baysnooks which we can't sell.
