Fish to go with Bichirs

I aggree with zerojquan. Oscars are ok as long as the bichirs are big enaugh not to become food.

The bigger your tank is the more combination you can put. I have a very odd combo. Archers, angelfish, discus, aro, clown loaches.

i have a hepsetus odoe(african pike) in with my bichirs.they get on really well together.never been a hint of trouble.

Silver dollars, pink tail chalceus, distichodus affinis are some that go great with them.

fishgonewild, i thought archers were strictly brackish- how were you able to mix the bichirs in with the archers? i would love to know because when i ever get the chance to set up a tank those would definitely be the ideal fish for me. i had an archer about 7-8 years ago and he was so fun to watch-dont see them too often though

Usually african catfish go well. Arowanas and gar make good company. Pikes are pretty good at standing their ground.

well i have 2 delhzi in my 180 and they share with BGK, pictus cats, striped rafs variouse other cats, plecs, bala sharks, silver dollars, ID shark, severums, urau and a blackbelt! never had any probs with the 2 polys if anything they are the most docile in the tank !
