Fish to go with Bichirs

The bigger your tank is the more combination you can put. I have a very odd combo. Archers, angelfish, discus, aro, clown loaches.

It seems like it might be tough feeding bichirs if you had clown loaches. Any bichirs in this tank ?

fishgonewild, i thought archers were strictly brackish- how were you able to mix the bichirs in with the archers? i would love to know because when i ever get the chance to set up a tank those would definitely be the ideal fish for me. i had an archer about 7-8 years ago and he was so fun to watch-dont see them too often though

Not all archers are brackish. There is one specy that could acclimate to 100% fresh. I bought this 6" archers from the previous owner that had it in 100% fresh for well over two years. Archers are very mellow fish but can be aggressive top eaters. They're only aggressive toward their own kind.

This depends how big your bichirs are and how many loaches in the tank. I only have 6 loaches and size is 4-6". Feeding is very easy and it's enough food to go around.
