Fish with Arowana - bottom

Hello,

I looking bottom cleanup fish for tank with Arowana (but not Pleco). I found on this forum that it can be some catfish (lace, niger, giraffe, bumblebee, pacman) clown loaches, koi ?, flagtail, bichir, tinfoil barb.

I heard that Arowana don't like very active, fast moving fish on the bottom. Becouse of that lots of Arowanas got drop eye.

What you recomended for cleanup, quiet, calm bottom fish for tank with Arowana.

Catfish are good. BTW aros dont get DE from that...
 
yea they dont, bichirs are cool tankmates
 
Depending on your size of tank. I'm assuming big because you keep arowanas. I'll go with a pair of rays. :D
Otherwise bichirs are good.
 
Do you know how much bigger a ray tank is compared to an aro tank?
 
Yes I do.....both fish can get 3ft+ and require a tank of 36"+ (width).
I'm just saying he should IF he has a tank with this kind of footprint.....
 
actually rays need 48"+ not 36"...Aros on the other hand can do with 36"...
 
Not all rays....I didn't specify which species he should get...it all depends on his tank's footprints....if his tank is proper to house one then I'm just saying a ray would be nice...if not then move on to other bottom dwellers, easy as that....
 
You dont need to specify what ray LOL, even a retic will get 18" disc plus at least 20" tail.
