Fish youve had difficulties keeping?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Oddly enough, corydoras. I have lost countless panda and peppered corys and one out of two emerald brochis. I is mostly right after I get them, once they become established they do ok. I have two panda corydoras that I have had for well over a year and an emerald that I have had for a few months. No new corys for me anytime soon!!!!!

yeah some cories are very sensitive of diff water params. They look sad when theyre dead.. lying lifeless on the side.

One thing about me and fish that dies on me, i will try again... i get more challenged. :)

Corys often die because people fail to realize they enjoy cooler water, and people acclimate them to warm tanks.. They also do not take kindly to un-mixed salt.. Also wild ones don't like hard waters, I found out the hard way.. (200 corys later)..

For some reason, being a puffer specialist, I never have any luck with Dwarf puffers. PetSmart always gets FAT ones in, and I get excited and buy them all up.. Of course I set a new tank up for them and they are doing great for a few days.. But unfortunetly these mini-monsters have a special required diet that I usually do not have enough time to fulfill, nor do I have enough time to change the water in their tank.. I finally taught myself to quit buying them, no matter the temptation, because I do not have enough time on my hands to properly care for them as well as the fish down at the shop..

Farlowella cats and glass cats, just don't know why.

Out of all the fish ive kept my leichardti has caused me the most problems.

Some months he is 100% fine, other times he can just be a real pain.

Same here, though once I FINALLY got some that were not so beat up and parasite-infested that they were practically DOA I found them quite hardy. I fed mine twice daily with different frozen foods soaked in Zoe and Zoecon.
