Who's being a hypocrite? You know me? You know VLDesign? I guess that makes you the hypocrite. ;)

Main Entry: hyp·o·crite
Pronunciation: \ˈhi-pə-ˌkrit\
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English ypocrite, from Anglo-French, from Late Latin hypocrita, from Greek hypokritēs actor, hypocrite, from hypokrinesthai
Date: 13th century
1 : a person who puts on a false appearance of virtue or religion
2 : a person who acts in contradiction to his or her stated beliefs or feelings
— hypocrite adjective

Im waiting for VLDesign to "manage" himself and do the Earth a favor by removing himself from it or at the very least castrate himself so he cant produce offspring who will further harm the planet. Until he does that, he is a hypocrite. Of course he could retract that statement and come to realize that we humans are by far the most amazing creatures on Earth. We do have our faults at times but ALL other animals will take a back seat when it comes to our well being.

I thought your comment asking who will first volunteer a family member to the "manager" was in jest to VLDesign's comment. However, it frighteningly appears you were serious! :WHOA:

Jd is right we are amazing not only are we slow destroying the plant but every animal aswell we also like to kill each other Pew Pew man I'm amazing I'm gonna go kill the next animal I see cause I swear to god it was annoying me

fallin49er , would you shoot a sea lion?

sorry but this question was kinda to clear you because you sound like your in favor of this guy shooting an animal thats smarter than him. Maybe the animal does need to be removed but i hope everyone can agree that this puke shouldnt get jail time they should blow a couple of his fingers off. That way he doesnt have to think before firing another gun , he just wont be able to.
Absolutely not. In no way am I in favor of people breaking the law and killing protective wild life. My argument was for sea lions in my specific area where I live; I am not an expert by any stretch of the imagination in any area that has to do with wild life management. But I know that Columbia River sea lions are a big topic of discussion in this area. I fish these areas all the time; as a matter of fact I have had a sea lion take a sturgeon right off my hook...did it piss me off? Yes, was my first instinct to kill it? No, I actually thought it was pretty cool to witness it happen. I inserted a link in a previous response that has ton's of info on Columbia River Sea lion predation...it doesn't take a scientist with a B/A to comprehend these issues.

Interesting discussion here. Somewhere a few pages back, someone mentioned Atlantic salmon. They are endangered, but also farmed for food. The aquaculture folks have a hard time with seals cutting open the pens to catch the salmon. This has released many farmed salmon that have later shown up in rivers, mixing in with wild salmon. There is much concern (genetics wise)over the farm fish mixing in with the wild ones. But, the salmon farmers have creative ways to deal with the seals...

On another note, I watched the video of the man being arrested for shooting the sea lion this weekend on the news. I wonder how much money that action cost the tax payers of California? For a state that is almost bankrupt, that sure was an expensive morning to arrest a fellow for shooting a sea lion. Wonder how many drug dealers were arrested that same day? Probably more bang for the buck getting some drugs off the street imo.

Thank's for going to the Webster and the hole 9. But i know what it mean's.

Say what you will. It's just not going to change the fact dude should do time. ;) And i'm sure he will. What a stipid thing to do. :irked:

Honestly, He should just be happy a person like my self did'nt see it happen. (He'd be laying with the animal)

Sea Lions in many areas are out of control and should be managed just like any other species. What the guy did is not right, but the way Sea Lions are managed on the West Cost of the U.S. is not right either! I would contribute to a fund for his defense!
